    Isn’t it amazing what we see in our backyards? Yesterday morning, I looked out the window in time to see two raccoons slowly making their way to the fence. I had time to get my camera and take several pictures, one of which I’ve posted today.

    Great picture!

    What an excellent photo. My garden is a frequent source of images for WW - although for me it is flowers and insects as birds don’t usually spend too much time in a four cat garden.

    What sort of bird is it, if you dont mind me asking?

    Jams, it is a Northern Flicker. One of our favorite frequent visitors.

    wow it took me forever to figure out where the comment’s were and then I went duh move the cursor down. Oh there it is. I almost emailed you to say I couldn’t figure out how to post a comment. Oh well, I love bird watching use to do it big time in the 5th grade. I use to know all the names of birds and what they look like etc. Now I just know the names that I can remember is about 2 dozen birds. Crazy. Happy WW

    Oh, gorgeous one! Love the spots on his chest! I love to see bird pics on blogs, because most often there are species that we don’t have here in Sweden :-) I love birds.

    What a gorgeous picture of the flicker! They are an interesting bird to watch and observe. It is so nice to meet another person who enjoys the birds. Feeding the birds is my only hobby and I enjoy it so much. We have our yard certified with the NWF as well.
